OneBudget — Privacy Policy Last updated: February 2026 OneBudget ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data the app uses, where it is stored, and how it is handled. Data we process 1.1 Data you create in the app When you use OneBudget, you create and store: Budgets (e.g. name, limit, optional end date, optional savings goal) Expenses (amount, date, category, optional note) This data is stored on your device and, if you use iCloud, in your personal iCloud account. We do not have access to this data on our own servers. 1.2 Data we do not collect We do not collect: Name, email address, or other account identifiers (no account is required to use the app) Payment or banking details (purchases are handled by Apple; we only receive confirmation that you have an active subscription) Location data Advertising identifiers or tracking for third-party ads (the app does not show third-party advertising) Where your data is stored On your device: All budget and expense data is stored locally in the app's storage (and in the shared container used by the OneBudget widget). In your iCloud account (optional): If your device is signed into iCloud and the app uses iCloud sync, a copy of your data may be stored in your iCloud account in accordance with Apple's iCloud and CloudKit terms. This data is tied to your Apple ID and is not accessible to us. We do not operate servers that store your budget or expense data. How we use your data Your data is used only to provide the app's features: displaying budgets, expenses, overview, widget, reminders, and export (CSV/PDF). We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing or advertising. We do not use your data for analytics or profiling beyond what is strictly necessary for the app to function. Subscriptions and in-app purchases Purchases (including the Premium subscription) are processed by Apple. We receive from Apple only the information needed to unlock Premium features (e.g. that your subscription is active). We do not receive or store your payment method or billing details. Notifications The app can send local notifications (e.g. daily reminder, 80% budget alert) that are scheduled on your device. If you use iCloud sync, push notifications may be used so the app can stay in sync. These are handled by Apple's services; we do not use the content of your data in notification payloads for any purpose other than sync. Data sharing and disclosure We do not share your personal or budget data with third parties, except: Apple: As necessary for the app to work (e.g. iCloud, App Store, in-app purchases, push notifications). Apple's use of data is governed by the Apple Privacy Policy (https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/). Legal requirement: If we are required to do so by law or a valid legal process. Data retention and deletion Data stored on your device remains until you delete it in the app or uninstall the app. Data stored in iCloud is subject to your iCloud account and Apple's policies. You can delete it by turning off iCloud for the app or deleting the app and its data from your account settings. We do not retain copies of your data on our own systems. Security The app uses the device's built-in security (e.g. passcode, Face ID) and Apple's encryption for storage and, when used, iCloud. We do not transmit your budget or expense data to our own servers. Children OneBudget is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided data in the app, please contact us and we will help address the situation. Changes to this policy We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will be revised when we do. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
